About the NUST entry test
NET (NUST Entry Test) is the admission gate for every undergraduate engineering, computing, sciences and social-sciences program at NUST's Islamabad, Karachi and Risalpur campuses. NUST runs three test windows (NET-I, NET-II, NET-III) and counts your highest score.
The same paper structure and Math/Physics/Chemistry foundation also helps you sit and clear FAST NU's entry test and GIKI's admission test, so a serious NUST NET prep is a 3-in-1 investment.
NET paper pattern
- Mathematics — 80 MCQs (Pre-Engineering)
- Physics — 60 MCQs
- Chemistry — 30 MCQs (replaced with CS or Biology depending on track)
- English — 20 MCQs
- Intelligence / Analytical — 10 MCQs
NUST aggregate formula
- FSc / HSSC: 75% (mandatory ≥ 60%)
- NET score: 75%
- Matric: 10% (only used if NET + FSc tied)
NUST NET high-yield topics
- Math: differentiation, integration, vectors, sequences, complex numbers
- Physics: rotational dynamics, electromagnetism, modern physics, AC circuits
- Chemistry: equilibrium, thermodynamics, organic mechanisms
- IQ: number series, dice/cube, blood relations, statement-conclusion
60-day NUST NET plan
- Weeks 1–3: Math focus — daily 30-MCQ drills + 1 weekly mock at NET pace.
- Weeks 4–5: Physics + IQ blocks; build a personal error journal.
- Weeks 6–7: Chemistry + English + 2 full-length mocks per week.
- Final week: Past 5 NET papers under exam conditions.
