FSc Part 1 vs Part 2 — what to prioritise

Roughly 40% of MDCAT comes from Part 1 chapters and 60% from Part 2. If you're in F.Sc Part 1 today, build foundations; don't try to attempt full mocks until Part 2 is at least half done.

High-yield Biology topics (memorise first)

  • Cell biology + cell membrane transport
  • Bioenergetics (photosynthesis + respiration)
  • Genetics (Mendelian + linkage)
  • Human physiology — circulatory, nervous, excretory
  • Bioenergetics + biological molecules

Frequently asked questions

Is Logical Reasoning really worth practising for 6 MCQs?

Yes — it's the easiest 6 marks for a structured prep, and tight-merit students cannot afford to leave them.
